Hi folks looking for any information about the laws on the family home after a seperation of a married couple ,,,,( my brother )
They seperated about 10 years ago ,And he moved out of the home ,,,he continued paying all the mortgage and still does ,,,, the kids are all grown up ,,,,, she told him about 7 years ago she was moving out of the house and she wanted nothing to do with it ,,,so he moved back in ,,,and has always been paying the mortgage alone since they broke up .
Now the problem is ,he is running into problems paying the mortgage now ,and is thinking of moving back into the town ,,,into a smaller house !!!!
Obviously he needs to sell the house and pay off the mortgage,,,,,is she entitled to any part of any moneys made from the sale of the house????
And where can he get good legal advise on this matter ( cheap or free advise )
Thanks in advance for any information or advise .....

    Good advice is not cheap.

Bad advice is even more expensive.

    Go speak to a solicitor.
