Your most memorable festival or event moment in Ireland.

I have to say my first two Electric Picnics still rate as my favourites, 2005 and 2007 editions. 2005 Kraftwerk mindbogglingly amazing and the following day LCD Soundsystem. 2007 Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Bjork (incredible). I also rate my first few Willie Clancy festival visits in Milton Malbay in Clare as absolutely mental experiences. So what was your favourite moments at an event, past Feiles, Witnness's, Oxegen's, Fleadhs or All Ireland GAA events. Something to help us still appreciate our summers. :)

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

Wellies filled with muck, cans of gallahad, ferociously expensive tickets, yokes, VW camper vans, abandoned tents, the odd bit of music and lots of sex.

Not a big outdooree person - saw Metallica in 2008 in Marley Park which was pretty good as I was a big fan of theirs growin up in the 1990s, not really in to metal now much but still have a soft spot form some bands like Slayer etc

My biggest event I ever missed would be Metallica at the Top hat in Dunlaoghaire, Justice Tour (One of my fav albums still). A band at their peak playing ina roller skater ring! heard it was mental

When the WRC came to the NW of Ireland them two years. Seeing world class rally drivers, and walking around Parc Ferme was quite a sight. Unfortunately Celtic Tiger ripped the arse out of, making it one of the most expensive rounds on the calendar for people to visit.

    Eminem at oxygen in 2010.

    He really wasn't great.........

Same year, same festival - Muse the night before was one of my highlights.

Witness 2002 though - I was only a wee one but

The Frames followed by Green Day followed by the Foo Fighters followed by the Prodigy......it was my first festival and what a day that was (was not allowed overnight it  )

    Also,

Rock en Seine 2013, been waiting over a decade to see System of a Down and they were everything I had hoped. Before they played I discovered the Bloody Beetroots and drinking a pint of wine watching the crowd going mental while they were on was a huge highlight.

Ahhh so maany good times. Roll on Tennants Belfast on the 23rd and EP next month :D:D:D

Ah, I remember those halcyon days. In a beautiful green field. Down at the palatial surroundings of a fabulous country Estate. Surrounded by the flower of youth - cultured and elegant young ladies and gentlemen.

One of the more mannerly young ladies approached me with a polite request to perform fellatio on me. Of course, being the gentleman that I am, I obliged her request and myself and passers by decided to record her memorable experience so that she could live and relive it for all her life, and also pass it on to her grandkids.

I never did learn of her identity. Although I heard that she goes by the pseudonym "Slane Girl"

(* may not have actually been me)

They were great Crack alright, driving round in the pitch dark trying to listen out where exactly the techno was coming from and then eventually finding the spot after driving up and down the same road about ten times.

If you are in the know these still go on, There is a massive one in Bundoran that falls the same time as the sea sessions, it gets a large mix from around the north west, it is well ran and professional !

Drunkenly trying to sneak into Super Furry Animals at Sea Sessions by somersaulting over the barrier/fence and accidentally knocking a young child out of the arms of its father...

Needless to say he wasn't happy

I don't get the invites any more. Kinda dropped out of that scene, parenthood, running etc. I probably wouldn't go or be allowed to now...but I'd still like to be asked, I guess they think I've become a "square"...

Daft Punk fading in 'Around the world' from 'Steam machine' while I was tripping beach balls at Oxegen 2007 made my face melt in the most glorious way imaginable.
