I have now managed to get my 2008 Zafira registered with exemption as I have imported it, and myself to Ireland :)

I have insured it with Aviva
I have applied for Tax (with, annoyingly, arrears of 30 days cos I registered it yesterday )

But it needs an NCT, which I can't book as my registration doesn't appear on the NCT website
And I can't take it in anyway as I don't yet have a Registration Document.

So does that mean I still can't drive my car?
....and I still have to pay those arrears on a car I can't drive by law?

I can't see an alternative, so I assume this is all correct?

Takes a day or so to appear on the nct website. If you say you vrt'd it recently and bring the form that will do for nct so you wont need to bring the logbook
