When I listen to music, I set the volume one click away from mute. And the music is still too loud. I have an Umi Max and I use JBL earphones. Is there any way that I could lower the volume even lower? My phone has some settings for listening to music through earphones but all it does is add a load of bass to the songs.

This might be more suited to Android Devices.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but when you're adjusting the volume are you sure that it's not the ringer that you're changing?

When you're changing the volume the slider should appear on the screen, if you click the "cog" icon just make sure you're using the correct slider.

There are a few apps which allow you to override the volume control and will allow you to decrease the volume further.

Do a search for "volume control" or similar and test out some of the apps to see if they work for you.

    Try this:
    1. Enter *#*#3646633#*#* on the dialpad to enter Mediatek Engineer Mode.
    2. Swipe right and go to hardware testing.
    3. Select Audio option.
    4. Go to Headset Mode (ASSUMING IT IS WHEN YOU ARE USING HEADSET).
    5. In this default value is 112 change that value to 100 (or according to your requirements) and press set.
    6. Do NOT exceed this value above 145 or 150 it may damage your headset.
    7. Now close the engineer mode and check the volume of your device. You should notice the change in your audio.
