    Hi folks,
We have noticed that there´s a mistake in our logbook on the Chassis Number.
Instead of 17 digits there are 16. It looks like when the car was registered from the UK into Ireland, this error was produced in the logbook.
We have to register the car in Spain and they have noticed and we need to get this changed.
I have spoken to the VCO but the wexford accent challenges me ,)
She said I need to send the original logbook and a VIN Ammendment Form.....I don´t seem to find where I can get this form....
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks a mill.

If it was a UK reg car, you will not get a copy of the original log book, but you can get a V561 certificate of permanent export.

Just scribble out the form and within a few weeks you will get the cert. This cert is fully accepted in lieu of a V5 log book for re-registering in Ireland

Thanks so much mullingar for your reply.
The mistake is in the irish logbook though....I thought perhaps I didn´t have to do anything in the UK?
The central vehicle office said that if I sent the current irish logbook with the mistake on it, they can re-send this logbook with the correction provided I send the VIN Amendment Form....! I was wondering what this form was....
