Anvil! The story of Anvil is probably my favourite music documentary.  It's about an 80's heavy metal band from Canada who were touring with the likes of Metallica etc back in the day, Metallica went onto great success where Anvil didn't.  Doc is about their journey back to the top

Rush - Beyond The Lighted Stage is a good one. You don't have to be a Rush fan to follow the story, but it does help. They've been called the world's biggest cult band, since they racked up over 40 million in album sales while being deeply unfashionable, a situation that's only turned around in the last 10 years, with the media and other bands acknowledging the major influence they have had.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

It's way more than 6months old and you've probably seen it but 'searching for sugarman'is a great documentary. Thinks it's on Netflix also.

    I'd second that. Brilliant film.

    I liked Sound City too.
