    I'm pretty sure a lot of ye remember this series from mid 80s or thereabouts.
    I used to really enjoy it,and we always talked about it in primary school.
    I read somewhere that RTÉ actually showed reruns of it at the start of the year,which of course I missed..........

    One thing I distinctly remember was the music theme at the opening and closing titles,I always thought it was really cool.
    Can anyone else remember it,and if so does anyone know who or what band played that music??

    Yes, I'm pretty sure it was shown in 1988 as it coincided with the 200'th anniversary of Australia's founding as a nation. The part I remember most was him visiting a rough bar in some outback town where the patrons were throwing empty beer bottles at some drunk lads singing inside a cage.
