I'm going into 5th year, I've taken Biology as my only science subject, I'm not fantastic at Physics or Chem so is it completely stupid of me to want to study since the courses start off as general science?

If you don't enjoy phys and chem at LC level, trust me, it will only get worse. General and organic chem are pre-reqs for specialising in neuroscience from 3rd year in science at trinity and a lot of people had to repeat them in my year (including myself!), especially organic chem (it's nothing like LC level, a lot harder). I'm not exactly sure what neuroscience entails exactly, I specialised in Zoology, but if its heavy on the chem and you don't like chem now it's probably not a good idea. I went into science thinking I 100% wanted to do genetics but changed my mind after realising I have no head for chemistry or maths, the good thing about the science course is you can change your mind later so if you think you could put your head down and get through the chemistry alright then its a good option to have down on your CAO as it keeps your options open later on if you decide to go into a different science i.e. natural sciences or something like that.
