Canon 5DIV and Lightroom

Came back from my Hong Kong trip which included trading in my 5D mk III for the IV.
My problem is Lightroom 5.7 64 bit only recognised a few of my cr.2 files and I def have dual pixe Raw switched off as I read LR def can't handle that.
Not had a deep read yet as I've to go out but after trying DPP there is no way I can use that so for now unless some one comes up with a solution I'll prob just shoot in JPEG for now.

BTW 5D mk IV 1k cheaper over there and I got 922e for my mk III which had a few things wrong with it, nothing major but lots of lil things.

Does Lightroom CC support it? Seems a bit of a waste having a MK IV and shooting jpeg.

Can't you just use DPP to export DNG for Lightroom? Surely the latest version of LR supports the 5DIV?

Same issue here. I have photoshop cs6 and doesn't support 5d mk4 files. I have no intention of paying a subscription for CC when it is only slightly more improved than cs6.

I just use DPP to convert the files to DNG and then import them in to lightroom/photoshop. Anyone know if dng loses some information compared to raw files? They are a bit smaller so I'm thinking some compression is happening.

You don't lose anything with DNG, it's just more space efficient.
