Hey, I'm wondering has anyone here bought anything from Thomman recently and had any issues with this "cites" deal. I believe it relates to the use of rosewood and how it is now marked as an endangered specie. However, I think if its certified pre convention all is OK.

I'm just wondering had anyone any issues with this buying from thomann into Ireland? I'm interested in making a purchase on a new guitar but don't want to get caught up in red tape if it is an issue or am I reading too much into this?

    Thanks.

Best option would be to ask thomann.

Can do, was just curious if anyone had any issues on the receiving side. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.

For the purposes of CITES, the EU is counted as a single entity, so you’ll have no problem buying instruments with Rosewood in them from Thomann, or any other seller in the EU.

I recently bought a rosewood back side and fretboard guitar. No issues at all.
