So I have taken a few days off over at the last weekend of September. Four nights in total. Looking to head over to the continent for it. Recently been to Paris Amsterdam and Warsaw so those are out. Only a young fella but into food, museums culture etc not really into partying.

Thinking of trying to get somewhere for 500 ish for flights and accommodation only. Normally stay into a cheap hotel but also considering trying hostel for 1st time as have always been interested in trying that.

I am into French culture and speak a reasonable amount of French so was considering Lyon, Have also had Berlin suggested to me.

Barcelona would be perfect at end of september , still some heat and the locals are back in town so great buzz , Berlin a great choice as well ,I'm going to Rotterdam late september , looks cool

Berlin, Krakow, Budapest can all be done on a budget. Stockholm not as cheap but beautiful.

Also La Merce is on around the end of Sept which is a week long celebration of the city's patron saint, so plenty of stuff on then.

Berlin is great at any time of the year and always budget friendly.

As for France, I would recommend Bordeaux as it's stunning and the people are very friendly and relaxed.
