    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4728890/Lorry-driver-attacked-migrants-Calais.html

    http://www.francetvinfo.fr/france/hauts-de-france/migrants-a-calais/pas-de-calais-mort-du-conducteur-d-une-camionnette-en-marge-d-un-barrage-de-migrants-circulation-coupee-sur-l-a16_2245305.html

Can a Mod please instruct posters what can and can not be discussed in relation to these incidents please?

First link:A haulier hit with a brick trying to stop criminals trying to board his vehicle and the UK authorities say.....

British truckers were informed of the incident by the National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service which has now issued a red alert, indicating a clear and present security risk, according to the Daily Express.
Richard Burnett, from the Road Haulage Association, told the paper that the attack served as a 'stark warning to UK drivers'.

I would include plenty of Irish drivers in that warning too.

Second link:Polish man burned to death after crashing into a truck that was blocked on the motorway by tree trunks left to help criminals enter vehicles to cross the channel.

Maybe Im being silly but I thought that the French removed all of these criminals from the port of Calais and distributed them around other areas in France.

Once again can the mods instruct what is allowed to be discussed so as the thread does not get closed please.

It is an issue worth discussing,we have many, many hauliers that travel this route every day(Im one of them) and this recent resurgance of trouble around Calais should not be overlooked.
We were led to believe the jungle is gone, looks like its getting back on its feet to me.

The Calais Jungle may be gone, but the problem certainly doesn't stop there. I was in Calais last year and the place is still swarming with migrants.

The French authorities aren't doing enough to stop the problem IMO.

Please dont mention migrants...thread will be closed.

The lads in my links are criminals, assaulting people, blocking motorways putting lives at risk(causing death),illegally entering vehicles to illegally enter the UK.

Why didnt you PM one of them first instead of this obvious cyber version of pistols at dawn.

No point challenging them in such a childish manner and demanding on thread answers.

Are you just trying to get their backs up to prove a point?

What agenda do you want to discuss....prior Mod actions you dont agree with? Safety and security of continental hauliers or migration through Europe?

Its a loaded thread and you just seem to be looking for a fight.

    Woah there tiger!!!

I was just hoping they would put a few Mod warnings in the 1st post or something.
    Im not that deep.

You answered your own question in bold there....more specifically Calais because I presumed things had calmed down but it looks like its escalating again.

    Unless what?

All this crap was supposed to be dealt with after the removal of the jungle camp.

What's the facination with the UK? Is there a website with a list of benefits a migrant can claim in each EU country?

Two lads from the UK had their motorbikes robbed from them and one was sexually assaulted last week in Calais. Same thing, roads blocked and they had to stop causing the incident. French police didn't want to know.

A lot of families coming back from camping trips in Europe are being advised to take extra care also getting to the port as the situation is dangerous.

Some young lad called Rashan Charles died after being chased by the police during the week and it has seemed to have caused a bit of unrest tonight.

What is it about Londoners that whenever somebody accidentally dies after being involved with the police somehow they have yo start a big riot?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 596 ✭✭✭Conservative

The French (ha!) and British authorities need to put armed personnel in place with any kind of aggression being met with a minimum of plastic bullets. Anyone detained should be held in squalor until they offer up their country of origin and are returned.

As soft as the current generation of politicians seem to be imagine what the future generations of pansies they have borne are going to do.

The EU should end it's refugee programmes entirely, return those we do not need and stay the hell away from the middle east and Africa and let the chips fall as they will.

They just may drop being doormats and catch up with the rest of civilisation before I am dead that way.

I don't know the details to be honest. I'm wondering why it hasn't shown up on BBC/SKY News though. SKY would normally be all over this like flies to shit.

    Police in Stoke Newington now:

London cops seem way more prepared compared to the last big riots:

Never understand why people choose to riot for ****heads,
person they are rioting over died while swallowing a package to prevent the police finding it ,

    No riots over Greenfeld

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

The UN Human rights convention has failed us. Only the idiot countries adhere to it. Rip it up and go back to the Old days of chucking people we don't like on a boat to Australia, Antarctica or WhoTheHellCaresIstan.

We are losing our continent because of a stupid rule book that the enemy don't use.

Not far off the mark at all.

Few of the Governmental outlets, for example,Germany or France will provide any such precise information to truck or Coach Drivers.

To do so,would be directly contradicting their "official" lines, usually centering upon how their relative immigration and integration policies are performing fantastically, with everybody just getting along great.....;)

HGV and Coach Drivers transiting through Calais and it's surroundings have been aware of the reality for many years now, decades even.

Many operators and individual drivers have established their own networks in an attempt to carry on normal operations in the face of total denial and inaction from the respective Governments.

It is only now,at the 11th hour, that some of the EU's many governing agencies are beginning to sober up after losing their mind on Frau Merkels homebrew....

    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-40714946
The EU's top court has ruled that a law requiring refugees to seek asylum in the first country they reach applies even in exceptional circumstances.

Under the so-called Dublin regulation, refugees typically have to seek asylum in the first EU state they reach. But Germany suspended the Dublin regulation for Syrian refugees, halting deportations to the countries they arrived in.

On Wednesday the ECJ ruled that their crossing of the Croatian border had to be considered irregular under the Dublin rule. Just because one EU country allows a non-EU citizen to enter its territory on humanitarian grounds, that authorisation is not valid in other EU countries.

Quite an important decision for a wee, bankrupt member State balanced precariously on the edge of Grosser Europa I would suggest ?

It remains to be seen, whether our own Higher Courts, will recognize the legitimacy of the ECJ in this particular judgement,or whether they will remain content to leave the Policing up to Truck and Coach driver, who have no responsibility for the situation at all.

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

Similar incident happened in Germany where some punter jumped out of a fourth floor window of a courthouse. His associates went on the rampage in the hospital he was taken to.

Then there was another incident where a fella was asked to move his car from a no-parking zone by police. Ended in a riot involving 100s of people.

Some people have no respect for the law.
