    I need to get the Timing Belt & Water Pump done on my 2012 VW Jetta. How much will this cost me. Thanks

    not really the correct place for this post but guessing at engine type as a 1.6tdi would be 400 including waterpump and new coolant

    What is it with VW and their engine designs that you need to change the water pump at the same time as the Timing Belt?

    pretty much standard that the timing drives waterpump on alot of different engine types

    Ah okay, sorry for derailing thread. For some reason I associated this with VW in particular.

    You should expect to drop in the morning collect that afternoon in any reasonably well organised place

    Yeah, some cars they are an extensive job, the Jetta should take around 3 hours, so a one day turn around isn't unreasonable.
