    Trailer out for F1 2017.

It certainly looks the part, I've heard people say it's veering more towards the sim side of things with this version too. You will be able to race all the different F1 cars against each other which might be a bit pointless. This version has me a little bit tempted.

The word im hearing from sim friends is its a step up from last year, not a true sim by any means but a great F1 weekend experience that wont frighten away casual gamers.

I really enjoyed F1 2016 for something to mess about with when i wasnt up for the usual sims but wanted to race.
It was perfect for this and i believe F1 2017 is similar.

Ill pick it up down the road for sure.

Bugs aside its pretty good and the online community is behind it massively. Also the esports direction F1 took is interesting.

Just bought F1 2017 special edition earlier.

I am really out of my depth here after 15 years away from gaming.

Is the steering wheel best for this?

Using the joypad isn’t as straightforward as I would like from a car control point of view.

Steering wheel is honestly the best for any racing game. I used to play all the F1 games on a pad and it was fun but not super immersive.

I got a Logitech G29 and it changed the experience immensely. Although I will note I had to basically re-learn the game entirely. But once I re-learned the game, I was able to play without any assists, completely manual and actually drive better than I did with the pad when I had assists on.
