Who offers the fastest BB upload speeds?

I'm currently with Virgin.

Upload speed is 24Mb/ps.

They can offer 36Mb/ps if I upgrade to the 360Mb/ps download package.

Hardly worth the effort.

So, what's the fastest upload available?

I'm Dublin 14 based.

No FTTH anywhere in the postcode yet, Virgin is the fastest.

Siro I think have the highest upload, I think they do up to 200meg upload?

Just wondering, I know gpon can give 1000 download max, but what is the maximum upload that can be achieved by gpon, is it 500 Mbp/sec?

You can have up to around 1.25Gb/s shared across the PON. So it's possible to offer 1Gb/s upload to customers. But don't forget that is shared across up to 32 customers. I don't think you will see any 1Gb/s upload speeds for residential customers until the technology moves to NGPON.

Its worth noting the consumer centric services produced by US firms still build for the US average which still has very low upstream rates. Take twitter, I can push 24Mb to them but usually see 4-5Mb. Having 300 will only benefit P2P and youtube or Gdrive in the main.
