VRT - I am exempt, but might have a problem

Today I received the letter of exemption from the Revenue. This is great news as I can now take it for its VRT.

There is another problem though. Part of the exemption process required me to send loads of documents to the Revenue, this included things like the original sales receipt and proof of addresses etc. The Revenue only returned the original UK registration document and the letter of exemption....but the VRT test requires the sales receipt as well.....according to the website, which I now have not got.

Has anyone had the same problem, and if so, how did you go about resolving?

did you buy from a dealer? if so simply get them to email you on another copy of the sales receipt

if it was a hand written receipt then remake your own to reflect the original details
