P45 required for applying for tax credits for a new job?

    Starting a new job in the next few days. I was off work for more than 1 year. When applying for tax credits, do I need to provide a P45 from my last job? I could not find the answer to this online.

    No. P45 is only relevant if changing jobs in the current tax year.
