Back of back seat (bootside) is torn

so i don't know if this makes sense but brought my dog for a spin in the car. he has chewed up the mat that covers the spare wheel so i bought a heavy duty rubber mat and wrapped in it chicken wire so now he can't dig at it or pull it up. thought i was great.

but, now the little fecker started to tear the back of the back seat (bootside), if that makes sense? two massive torn holes in the cover now, looks terrible. hate the sight of it.

just wondering, without doing something extreme and replacing the entire back seat, is there something that can be done? is it possible to get a fabric sown into it? coz this section of the seat os attached/sown to the back seat, if that makes sense? i can't sow the hole as he has torn a patch out of it :(

(i should add, ive just ordered a waterproof cover off amazon for it but its too little too late)

Is it an estate or a hatch?

I recommend a hatchbag and then use a full length dog guard that comes over the whole back of the car.
In relation to the existing damage the easiest way would be to find a breakers with a same upholstery as your own and replace the seatback complete.
