Hi, this is my first post so any help would be appreciated.
I have just bought a car in the UK, I have been told that I need a v5c cert to pay the vrt. My problem is that the garage where I bought the car re registered the car in my name and sent the v5c to the dvla in Swansea. I have rang them to see how long it would take for me to receive it but they told me that they dont send them out of the country but they would issue an export certificate. Does anyone know if this export certificate will be accepted at the nct center to register and pay the vrt on the car?

    Thanks in advance

you have 30 days from the day it entered the country to pay the money so if you didnt exceed that yet you should be ok. There me be a 28 euro fee though for the 2nd appointment
