New Yorker Magazine sub

Best BA for me in a long time.

Superb magazine, but pricey at normal price and very rare for such an offer to be given.

Quite an intense read but if you have an interest in usa politics and indepth opinion on other issues its superb. Their interview with Leonard Cohen was the highlight of last year imo, and was just a few weeks before his death.

If you use the Zinio for Libraries app you can get the online version of this magazine for free. There are many other great mags there too. If you like The NewYorker you might like The Atlantic too.
It's completely legit, everyone in the country is entitled to the service. Click the last link below to see the range available.

1.Download the app Zinio for Libraries

    2.Register for the library online using the following link;

Thanks Whimsical for flagging it again for new people. Zinio Libraries is the BA of the century IMO! Need to buy a larger capacity iPad for the FREE magazines I'd like to read!

    Great BA, a quality magazine.

Print and online sub is $10 for 12 weeks so went with that.

    Cheers for the heads up

Was excited for this but as above, it seems to only be for US addresses?

Worked fine for me. Offer is for international addresees - excludes US addresses.

If you make an error you need to close it down and reopen the link. It also seems to need an address that it can verify - my home (rural) address did not work, but business address did.

Worked fine for me as well. Just select Ireland from the country drop down list.

I stupidly went print only. :pac: Getting a stall now when I try to create an account using the same email address, hoping it won't be too much of a pain to cancel the renewal now.

Anyone know if it's possible to change your delivery dress with this subscription? I much prefer having it in print, but I'm going to be between places for the next while...

    Thanks.
I also signed up for 12 issues of the Economist for €20 a few days back.

However that doesn't seem to be easy to cancel does anyone know how to cancel an Economist sub?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 315 ✭✭strmin

Just keep an eye on you cancellations. I had a sub with another business magazine and they tried to charge my card even after I cancelled.

I signed up but the website crashed when trying to make my account - I got a confirmation email from the order though but no reference to the sub.

    Any ideas?!

Your customer number should be on the address label of your magazine. Use that to enter your account.

    Hi

Just double checking, if you cancel now, you still get those initial 12 issues, yes?

My email says my first issue is the August 21st issue so I'm not expecting it for a while.

    What does your email say?

My first issue is the 21 August as well.

Mine arrived yesterday too but it was last week's issue (dated 21st August) . The new issue was out yesterday so hopefully the physical subscription will catch up pretty quickly.

After getting about 3 issues of this and about 5 issues of the cheap Economist sub I got and I haven't read a single word on either lol.
I'll drop them in to my local doctor's surgery they'll be far more recent than the 10 year old National Georgraphics they have in there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,881 ✭✭✭bromley52

If you are a member of a library they and many more are free online. Download an app called RBdigital to read on your phone/tablet. Register here.

If you like The New Yorker a year or two year sub can be obtained here

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,625 ✭✭✭barry181091

Anyone have a link to that cheap Economist sub? Id also love a cheap sub to the Irish Times and Nat Geo!

EDIT: Can't find the Economist one but there seems to be a cheap deal on Nat Geo now. 25GBP for a year. https://www.national-geographic-magazine.co.uk/

You realise you can get all these magazines free on the library Zinio app?
Not the Irish Times but everything else is there.
