Building a cheap ass pc

    Not sure if this can be done, but im considering building a desktop pc. Have a max budget of 500 all in, was initially looking at laptops but a mate said i could get a better spec desktop for the money. Any advice much appreciated. Is it even possible to get case, PSU, memory, HDD etc and a monitor for under 500?

    Laptops i was looking at had 6th gen core i3 processor and 4gb RAM.

    1. What is your max budget? EUR 500

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? MS office, internet browsing, pdf reader, basic steam games(e.g. faster than light, tabletop simulator etc)

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [Yes/No]: Yes

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No

    5. Do you need a monitor? Yes

    5a. If yes, what size do you need. 24-26 inch

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? No

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? No

    8. How can you pay? Credit/debit Card

    9. When are you purchasing? 3-4 weeks

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? I won't need help
