Carers Allowance refused

    I was told today by the person that carers for they the carers allowance was refused as I don't need full time care.

    When he applied he mentioned what I suffer from and medication I'm on and why along with letters from my social worker and doctor and they are still saying no.

    I know I he can appeal but I don't know what to do now.

    I need full time care so much my friend and on moved in together to help

    It usually has to be more than full time company and help with shopping, cleaning, taking medication etc. There would need to be a high need for personal care involving bathing/showering and/or toileting etc. Would recommend you call Family Carers Ireland Freephone 1800 24 07 24 and talk it over with them before lodging your appeal.
