Does anyone know is the 1.6 and 2.0 (2015 on) are effected by dieselgate?

I have a UK reg and cannot check online as the VW checker is useless even though I have the reg and VIN.

None of the B8's are affected.

    What happened to the Insignia?

Borrowed a car for one last drive to be sure to be sure. Found the road noise a bit too intrusive and the seats too hard and not that comfortable. A pity as the car was super to drive, great engine, and I like the styling and build. It just fell down as a motorway cruiser, which surprised me as that is what is made for.

I read somewhere on the Google Now feed a week or two ago that Audi have also been implicated in this - quick search though threw up a FAR more worrying concern ...
German owners of cars affected by the Volkswagen Group’s Dieselgate scandal will have their cars de-registered if their vehicles are not fitted with engine software upgrades, according to new web reports.

So "get the fix done (and possibly ruin your car) .. or else find yourself unregistered!" - imagine if that idea caught on here.

Thankfully it seems my UK-spec 2010 3L TDI A6 isn't one they messed with, but I wouldn't be getting the "fix" done anyway from all I've read on the other thread and elsewhere about it.
