I think I posted here before but I can't find the thread so I'll just ask here.
I am thinking of trying vaping but I have a few questions.

Because obviously they are a few bob I want to make sure I'm not buying a crap vape .

There are so many shops and different types of vapes, where do I go and what do I buy?

Do you guys buy tobacco flavoured juice?

    Should I?

Will I still get that throat hit?

I'm sorry to sound a bit thick but it's all a bit of a minefield and I could go to a vaping shop and ask but I'd worry I'd be told anything just to procure a sale.

I currently smoke around 13-15 John Player Blue a day. I never crave one first thing but I think I would need that throat hit to feel sated.

Oh and if you are suggesting tobacco flavour juice, do you buy a particular one depending on your cigarette brand?

I apologise for all the questions.

    PS I'm in South Dublin.

    This: https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10012927/4387700-authentic-joyetech-ego-aio-1500mah-e-cigarette

Same thing, bigger battery and more juice capacity: https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10012927/5445105-authentic-joyetech-ego-aio-d22-xl-2300mah-e

    ..... and a few of these: https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10029286/6412101-replacement-coil-head-for-joyetech-ego-aio-5-pack

That will set you up well, and cheap too. You will find the throat hit harsh at the start I reckon, but you will get used to it within a day or two.

I would suggest a 6mg strength juice and whatever flavour you fancy. If the throat hit is too hard you can drop down to 3mg strength nicotine juice.

Note: Delivery from the website I linked can take 2 to 3 weeks. If you pay extra you can get them in Ireland.

I spent first couple of years using cheap starter kits and bog standard tobacco flavour and if I was going back I wouldn't go down that route. There'd be much more knowledgeable folks on here but I use a 40w Eleaf battery and Aspire K3 tank. Get a load of different flavours and the more expensive ones are often the nicer ones. It works out cheap as chips vs cigarettes in any case.

I've been using an Aspire Nautilus mini with an E- Leaf iStick battery, it lasts me all day, for the last few years, find it works well for me

Never liked the tobacco flavour juice, prefer the sweet ones, Cola, Fizzy lemonade, you may have to try a few juices until you find a few you really like

Yep, I get a throat hit, use 12mg nice juice now, higher when I first started, was smoking +20 B&H a day

I agree with previous poster, I to started with cheaper starter kit but if I was doing it again I'd buy something decent from the start

Sounds shiťty, but to understand vaping, you simply have to do the research. Google stuff, watch youtube videos (how to's/ reviews on hardware), look at vaping shop stock.

Once you have a basic understanding, i reccomend talking to someone in a shop and getting a basic kit to start. Get a few different liquids and see what you like.

Some hardware/ liquids will suit you better than others.

In Dun Laoghaire you have Cigatec and Republic of Vape, which should both set you right.

You can get those AIO's suggested above by Irish Osiris for around 23/25 euro here in Ireland if you didn't want to go down the China route .

I started on tobacco flavours but after about two weeks I moved away from them and never went back . You would choose the nic strength depending on what brand you smoked .

If its any help at all, republic of vape are in dun laoighre.

    https://republicofvape.ie/locations/

They have a good reputation and they know their stuff. Easier to try before you buy and you can see what you're getting without having to rely on pictures on whatever site you go to.
