Hi there. Have a Cavaleir King Charles. Prone to weight gain and moderately active. Have been feeding him Royal Canine Medium Light Weight Care. I have heard mixed reports about RC - that it's over rated and over priced. I want to give him a good feed but one that's good value for what you get.

Has anyone any recommendation please? He is quite fussy so ideally would like to try some first before purchasing. Many thanks.

I use Acana Light and Fit for similar types of dogs - good quality and lower calorie. You can buy little 340g sample bags to try it out

Is he doing well on what you are currently feeding? I think the best dog food is the one that your dog does well on, no matter what price or brand it is.

    would agree 100% with muddypaws

but if you do decide to change for some reason make sure the change over is gradual over a couple of weeks
