siting of Oil Tank

    Hi all,

    I live in a detached house and my next door neighbour has moved their oil tank to about 1 inch from the wall of my house without saying anything about it.

    Anybody got any idea what the legal situation is in this regard?

    What's the problem? people in housing estates do it al the time.

    Table 11 sets out a set of requirements but they seem to be offset by 5.2.6.2. If the wall of my house is concrete does it need fire protection? There is only one high level window.

    I'd be less worried by fire than an oil leak. Not good if it gets into house foundations.

    i am concerned it might affect the sale of my house.
