    Hi
I have decided to take a trip to Australia for a couple of weeks at Christmas. Just looking for opinions on the best time to book, should I just go ahead or wait for a month or two.
Is there likely to be much price variation?

    Thanks

Ps: I do know its the most expensive time of year but this is when it suits me to travel!!

There is always demand to travel at Xmas so I doubt prices will come down, it's generally the only period in the winter that airlines make money, they aren't likely to sell tickets cheaper than they know people are willing to pay and so bargains will be scarce
