According to the ONS more than 2500 products have suffered from shrinkflation over the past 5 years. This is where the same product at the same price is smaller than before.

I've definitly noticed it in junk food like chocolate and crisps, but they got me with the toilet paper.

What have you noticed getting smaller in the last 5 years?

Only noticed chocs n stuff. The 'new' pringles are a joke. Can't say I'd ever notice how many sheets of toilet paper are in a roll.

Boxes of sweets, there was a time when a box of quality street would last all Christmas and still be an accompaniment to a cup of tea after New Year's Day.

Now, the boxes are tiny as are the sweets within them.

A person from Cadbury's has come out and refuted these reports and stated ' It's simply the people who are getting bigger, to suggest otherwise is simply ridiculous' who then proceeded to get a funsize packet of chocolate bars, and roar ' I'm a giant' with his mouth full of chocolate.

The 'big' bottles of Coke are now 1.75 litres instead of 2 litres.

this trend will continue, we will notice that we will be paying way over the odds for products that used to be half the price, and better quality.

My bank account used to be a lot bigger.

I remember when each letter of Y-O-R-K-I-E was given it's own square (6 in total) on a Yorkie bar.
There are only 5 squares these days the b@stards. The squares are also much smaller now are well.

A Mars bar is also more like a fun sized mars bar of yesteryear now.

Brunches are riiculous now. Borderline fasle advertising at this stage. The ad depict them as being covered in sprinkles. In the past you might get half coverage. NOw? They might as well not exist.

Bought a bottle of tropicana. Was surprised to see it was 950ml and not a liter as you'd expect.
