2008 Mercedes C180 - Intermittent problem with indicators

    Hi,

The indicators on my 2008 C180 stop working every once in a while.

Sometimes 20mins into a spin around town. Sometimes after 90mins driving. Most of the time it doesn't occur at all (9 trips out of ten all is ok).

Last service (at an independent garage) they couldn't find an issue and couldn't reproduce the problem.

When it happens lights, hazards, horn, wipers are all still fine.

Turning off the engine and restarting sorts it and indicators work fine again.

Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations for a place that specialises in electrics to take it to?

    Thanks.

Do they flash fast or just not work?

There used to be a thing with those C Class where the connections to the wing mirror indicators used to corrode and act like a bulb was blown. It was handy enough to clean up the connectors and sort it.

When it happens they don't work at all on the wing mirrors or the main indicators.
And the left and right arrows on the dashboard don't work.
