aluminium foil tape attic

    Folks

    After I insulated (50mm thick between rafters with foil backed)

    The rafters are 24inches apart

    Then I tried to apply aluminium tape to "join" the insulation.

    And to cover over the wooden rafters.

    But what I'm finding is the adhesion between the foil insulation and the tape is not great.

    Sometimes it sticks and sometimes not.

    Could it be electrostatic related?
