    I guess the big news is the 8 speed auto. I wonder will this bring down the Irish price, as it seems the high CO2/VRT might dampen sales.

    CO2 figure for VRT for new models is now determined using a newer test - the values are much less unbelievable and prices will be higher.

    Hopefully they will pair the Auto box with the 2wd version to bring it in at a reasonable price.

    I had the manual FWD Platinum for the weekend and was very impressed. Loaded up heading to the Zoo on Saturday (4 adults, 2 kids) then took the kids and their bikes to the park on Sunday, and it handled everything thrown at it. Very comfortable, and nice to have plenty of power available when you put your foot down - auto box is the only thing that I was missing.

    Any idea why they have they updated it so early. The model is only two years old.

    I posted before that within minutes of entering a KIA dealership the Sales Rep told me you can take 3k off list price. Hopefully with competition from the SKodiaq, 5008 and of course the new Santa Fe next year and couple that with possible reduced emissions, it might come in a bit cheaper. Just like ROR I was pleasantly surprised driving the current Manual.

    Aren't both NEDC and WLTP CO2 numbers being gathered until q3 2018? I think the UK is consulting on changes to their VED and BIK bands rather than simply imposing a tax increase. It will be interesting to see what happens here.

    This is being launched in Frankfurt next week, according to the following it says;
    'carbon dioxide emissions have been cut from 172 to 159' for the auto. Unfortunately that still doesn't bring down to the 155 bracket, but we'll see as it doesn't mention FWD, AWD etc..
