Is Ennis turning into a Rent Allowance housing town?

Hi. Whole estates in Ennis are paid for by Rent Allowance. Many others are majority paid for by social welfare. People from outside the town and even County move here to get housed. When the Council granted permission for all these new housing estates during the boom we were told it was progress.
    Is the town getting rough?

Rents have started to increase in Clare well past 07/08 prices which would suggest we don't have an oversupply. Isn't it a bit backward to talk about demographics in terms of 'rough'? Lack of quality social housing presents far greater problems in the long term. Ennis definitely isn't rough.

That said there are definitely parts of town that the Council should really bring up to standard. I must be 10 years since Waterpark Court/Heights got a paint.
