Tax of buying a product from eBay

    Hello guys,

I'm planning to buy a laptop from eBay.ie and it is around 2,100 euro. Seller says it would dispatch the product from Dublin or Manchester.

My question is, should I pay the tax of this product after receiving it? I messaged the seller and they said there is no hidden fees but didn't mention whether the tax of product is already included or not?

    Thank you so much

Which one? Is this a reputable supplier? It sounds dodgy.

It sounds like an expensive computer.

If it is a bona fide supplier and they are selling to an individual, it should be VAT-inclusive. No excise / import duty applies.

What you risk is that it is actually dispatched from outside the EU and you would be liable for VAT and import duty.
