Try to step outside of myself and the moment. Very rarely find that an action or word I allow myself to indulge in in anger serves my own long term purpose and almost never makes me feel better beyond the moment, and reminding myself of that usually does the trick.

Except when I'm driving. When I'm driving I scream and swear like a lunatic.

Angry music. The more angry the music, the better it calms me down.

Always drove with a CD on hand that I could pop in for loud angry music which I could roar the lyrics along with the music.

Depends on the level of anger reached.
Just fed up, ill rant it out. I feel better if I've talked about it.
Someone's got on my nerves, confrontation and an explanation. I've no time for underhanded people or sneaky people and will call them out for it.
Proper angry/upset - don't know. Sometimes (rarely) I'll get into such a blind rage I'm capable of anything. I'll have it done before I realise what I'm doing. Priper lose my mind kinda stuff. To be fair it's only happened maybe 3 times in my life that I've felt blinded by rage but I'm nuts when I reach that far

I turn on gta v, turn on all my mods and go on absolute rampage.

I remind myself that I'll be dead in 60-ish years and whatever is bothering me will be irrelevant at that stage, so there's no point being pissed off :p

Also, killing people sometimes helps. Mainly in games such as ARMA.

    I don't get angry, I get even.

Sometimes I find if you just take a second and look at the person in the eyes, really look at them before you say anything, it helps gather yourself and calms you down. I'm prone to odd ragey moments but I much prefer feeling morally superior when someone else is losing it around me and I'm just taking deep breaths pretending I'm chill as fcuk.
Most of time I'm just too lazy to be angry.

So, you press some little buttons with your thumbs? Have you ever been angry?

    :pac:

Hate when I get angry....feel like I've let myself down.....nowadays I stop for a few seconds and think of the consequences if I lose my head...then I breathe easier......then I tell myself that the other person would only love it if I got angry and I won't give them that satisfaction.

Vent privately to someone who I know is capable of taking it and supporting me after. Usually my partner or best friend. They usually just laugh at me, and that in itself lightens me up a bit.

I tend to bottle things up or turn the anger inwards and somehow manage to blame myself. Talking to my OH and having a bit of a rant about things helps too, mainly I just eat my feelings though :pac:

Bubble blaster on my phone is the current way.
Baseball bat on a snowman was good during the big freeze.

I have most arguments with my wife in my car....alone. She never answers back and I get my point across without disruption or being told I'm wrong. I then arrive home calm and having got everything off my chest. It works for me.

I've a rotten temper, staring into the distance and not moving or opening my mouth is about as far as I've gotten with immediate-term coping strategies :pac: I'm actually reasonably good at talking things out once that danger period has passed though.

Activities where I'm on autopilot, I tend to let it out in a rather unfocused way. I call my dishes c*nts a lot, basically.

I squeeze my rage into a bitter little ball and release it at an approprate time

I very very rarely get angry to the extent that I need to actually do something about it. Sometimes I'll let out a few fucks and cunts but that's about it. I'd say I'd be the silent type if sh!t really hit the fan. Just try and compose myself and not kill someone :)
