    Lads,

My brother in law sent me a quiz by text today and am struggling with a few clues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All answers are well known books

    1) Save the brace of ducklings (5/6-3)

    2) A great breakfast for one with a hang over (5,4,3,3)

    3) MI Sirs (1,8,3,3,6)

    4) The feline with a topper returns to base (3,3,2,3,3,5)

2 is "Green Eggs and Ham" most likely.
The last one is probably "The Cat in the Hat Comes Back" but that's too many words. Are you missing a 4 at the end of that clue?

Tell him to do his own table quiz

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

According to the clue I've been given theres no four letter word at the end but you could very well be right

    First one is catch 22
    Third one is 1001 nights

That's like Karl Pilkington's 'Rockbusters' quiz from Xfm. Who the hell considers 'Green Eggs and Ham' a well known book.

Really? It doesn't fit the clue in terms of numbers of characters, and I don't really remember anything about saving birds in it.

    Save = Catch
    Brace of ducklings = 2 little birds = 22

Fair enough, would never ever have made the connection.

    Yeah, it's the bingo term.

No real need for the / in the OP though; slightly confusing
