Selling on car that needs repair.

    Hi all,

I picked up an 06 Corsa a few years back and after more trouble with it recently, I don't want to put any more money into it. I had to use a head gasket sealant that has "fixed" a coolant leak but now the EGR valve is showing on a repair diagnostic.

I just can't justify putting more money into it after what I've spent already so am looking to move it on. Obviously I don't expect any big amount for it but at the same time want to try and get something. What's my options for selling it on? Only to a breaker or scrapper yard where I'll get €50? Or could I sell 'as is' for a bit more? It does still drive but definitely needs a repair.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Cheers!

A neighbour put up a 05 golf needing a bearing and broken handbrake and it sold in a day, she got 700 for it and was happy.Just state in the add what's needed and you might get lucky.

As for fixing it , it will be a lot cheaper than shelling out a few grand on something different that may have issues months later. All cars develop issues.

But if you have an itch and want to change just stick in up for sale with items needed.

Stick it up on donedeal for parts or repair and state what is actually wrong with it. Put a price of €300 and state or near offer and see if you get any takers.
