Touch site forgets "last read" position

I don't know exactly how to reproduce this issue, but basically, if any of my subscribed threads get a new reply after a long period of time, perhaps more than one month, and then I tap on them to load the thread from the "last read" position, it will instead load the very start of the thread.

This doesn't seem to be a problem on the desktop site, but happens all the time on the touch site. It is consistent in the sense that it will happen to all threads where there's a long enough gap between replies (the length of that gap is what I'm not exactly sure about)

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
