    Hello
My name is Ianus I am 14 years old and I am thinking to get a motorcycle so I got a few questions
1.What is a low costing training for AM or A1.
2.Why is the training is  so expensive
3.What category should I pick AM or A1
4.How much will the insurance company charge me
5.What is an average price for a 50cc scooter .
6.What tips do you have for a low costing insurance
So I got interested in motorcycles about 1 year ago.I had decided to buy a scooter or a motorcycle.
    I don't understand why AM is a 50cc max. but A1 is 125cc and same age can't I still get A1 and get a 50cc scooter
What I am planning to do is to get about 1500 euro if that is enough
Get a 50cc scooter from DoneDeal
Get a helmet off DoneDeal because they are expensive
And the rest pay for insurance
I will try not to get any claims so after a few years to get a sportbike.
    Thanks

You need a couple more years before you can get a Moped. 16 is the minimum age.

Insurance costs in 2 years are a complete unknown. They could either be much more, a bit less or the same.

Training is expensive because insurance is expensive and we don't have a big enough population for economies of scale for schools.

Aim for the highest licence you can get for your age.

Don't buy a 2nd hand lid. You can scrimp on everything bar this. You can get good lids for less than €200. Make sure to get your head measured and get a helmet that fits correctly, a cheap properly fitted helmet is better than a top of the range incorrectly fitted lid.
