Liquid Screeded floor and a treadmill??

Hi guys

Just wondering as we have a 50-55mm liquid screed floor over 150mm insulation would having a treadmill on it be OK. The wife looking to get one to keep fit.

Just concerned would the constant impact of running on the treadmill cause cracking or damage to the screed floor?

I don't know what a liquid screed floor is, but a lot of people with treadmills have them on mats or such to prevent noise/damage.

Presumably a layer (or two) of foam mats would help a lot, in this instance?

It depends on the weight of the machine and the weight of the user, but unless you have half tonne state of the art machine and a heavy wife jumping all over it, I expect it will be fine. That said, some padding under the contact points would be useful.
