I'm off Monday and with nothing to do I'm going to head to Dublin for the day . Looking for ideas or things to do ,so far on my hit list are

    1. The zoo
    2.The wax museum
    3. The Guinesss store house
4.Steak at the bull and castle
    5. Wings at elephant Castle

    Any other ideas?

Just so you know- national museums and galleries are closed on Mondays.

PHX on the Quays instead of the bull/elephant and castle. Cheap and very friendly place, stones throw from the Zoo, Heuston and Guinness'.

National Museums are closed on Mondays but the National Gallery is open for most of the year. The Hugh Lane Gallery is closed on Mondays though.

The Wax Museum has relocated by the way.

Make sure you've 200 euro in your pocket, even walking around Dublin you seem to need cash..

    Glasnevin Cemetery
Phoenix Park while you're going to the zoo
    GPO and the exhibition

Splash tour is hysterical. Thoroughly recommend.

Tbh you won't eat wings and steak..unless you have enormous appetite.

Wax museum is not worth it. Not sure where you are coming in from but howth or dun laoghaire worth a wander.

I hardly ever carry cash and can go out for a day (albeit not a Monday!) for the price of a coffee and a sandwich...

... so yeah about €200 :pac:

100% agree with this - it's an embarrassment. Only go if you want a nostalgic look back at the same wax works you saw on your 4th class school tour in 1987
