Tragic. A week that put the perils of working in the racing industry back in focus. RIP.

Read about the incident elsewhere and had to stop. Just sounded sickening. RIP Stephen Yarborough, it seems unbelievable that this sort of thing should happen in this day and age.

Really sad. Hope they acknowledge him in some way at tomorrow's meeting. Think it should have been abandoned as a mark of respect, personally.

Big day tomorrow for the track, no doubt they will get a big turn out for the Culture Club concert after, a sign of how racing has gone. Agreed the meeting should be abandoned, but no chance that will happen.. Sure, it reminds me slightly of the story Ruby wrote about when Kieran Kelly died in Kilbeggan, the Jocks more or less had to stand up and tell the clerk that they did not want to continue to ride, that decision should have been taken out of their hands and the meeting abandoned. Couldn't imagine how his colleagues to face working tomorrow. Tomorrow will be full of bland over the top tributes from ITV Chamberlain etc, yet punters will forget easily enough with a few pints and a gig, many of whom wouldn't go near Haydock but for the gig.

    RIP Stephen

When i saw the headline I presumed it was an incident with a horse. When you see how good the handlers are with some of the crazy ones, they really earn their wages. Poor man. Rest in Peace.
