    Hi all,

Does anyone know what is involved with registering electric motorbikes, the likes of zero motorcycles and scooters such as GenZe that aren't necessarily available here? i.e. if they are imported from Europe or further a field.

Lastly any recommendations or what to expect on insurers for an electric moped (limited to 45km) for a new rider (10 years + no claims on car) going to start ringing around in the morning.

    Cheers in advance

There are many threads about importing bikes, go through my previous posts from a few months ago.

You will have to do lessons and the IBT before you can ride it, no one knows with insurance but it will be expensive. If the bike isn't available here and you fully comp it, how is the insurance company to know if parts are even available for it to fix it in the event you crash
