    http://www.bmwblog.com/2017/07/19/rumor-bmw-planning-i3-model-120-ah-capacity-201819/

Kind of knew they were upgrading anyway but they want to get the cost of the I3 in order, it won't be able to compete with Ioniq, Leaf etc which will have a lot more range from January or probably late December so the I3 is only playing catch up.

Yes the I3 is a different class of car and a "lot" more fun than Leaf, Ioniq etc but the car is poorly equipped as standard and with a few essentials pushes it to 42K for the battery only version ! that's mental.

I'm seriously considering a 2nd hand one but probably be very difficult to find one with decent spec.

Little things like keyless entry and LED headlights are missing , a high tech car with halogen lights is just ridiculous.

Also if the Bolt can have 200 HP then the I3 should really up it's game a little.

Fun car ? absolutely and I guess that's what you pay for, but you do "pay" !

I'm convinced that BMW told the designers that they could design it while attending Oktoberfest. I think they just sell them for the craic and that it's a frankenXperiment before they take making electric cars seriously.

Can you imagine if Tesla's cars had looked like the i3?

I actually don't think it's bad, I kind of like it, it's nice inside , I'd imagine if they weren't serious about it then they wouldn't have made it drive so good. It's a very high quality product but they do need to get the cost of it down or at least include more kit.

I quite enjoy the fact that some EVs look out of the ordinary. It's kind cool the i3 doesn't look like another smaller 520feckingD
