Hi just curious, i started vaping a few weeks ago, i am wondering does anyone know if Diacetyl is in the Hale products. there seems to be a bit of scare mongering over this chemical causing popcorn lung.... and yes after some research it seems that there is actually more of this chemical in cigarettes rather that the vape liquid, and it also is found naturally in some fruit although in very small doses.

Where are you finding this scaremongering? Because it sounds very 2013 tbh, probably all ancient articles. Not one vaper, ever, has been found to have "popcorn" lung from vaping, and most flavour concentrates used by juice manufacturers these days is diacytel free. Back 4-5 years ago it was in everything. Be wary of the origin and date of any dodgy articles you come across, they're usually more damaging than what they are trying to warn against.

Thanks, i have one particular friend who believes everything she reads, from Facebook I believe haha, but she was very insistent so i thought I would find out for myself. Maybe she would rather that I smoke than vape, she's in the minority in our group now, most of us are vaping, and she doesn't want to quit

Sounds like she's trying to rationalise her cancer stick addiction. I had friends like that when I started vaping 4-5 years ago.

I get it from smokers too, they'll quote ancient articles they read in the Sun or some dodgy website. I stomp it out pretty quickly with facts :) Just quote the Royal college of physicians London, or Cancer research UK, who say vaping is at least 97% safer than smoking. Tell her to put that in her pipe ... and um, vape it :D
