    Hi

    Hoping someone can help.

Iv an old SAME PANTHER 4WD Tractor, which was going well, but after doing some baling yesterday, the PTO now wont turn off.

The PTO lever goes into the off position, but has no effect.

Any ideas how i can fix this?

Did you check the lever mechanism and follow it down to the backend it could be a loose or broken pin on the mechanism

thanks shootermcgee - lever mechanism is ok externally anyway. unless its something inside.

if it has an independant pto, if it has the same setup as a jaguar pto it might be the peg on the lever inside that moves the valve on the pto clutch pack may have loosened or it could be the pto brake band its a strip job for both.

Have you cleaned the filter for the pto ? It takes more oil to brake the PTO than it does to engage it.

Would it be the pto brake ?
