In Fairness to him that is pointed out plenty of times in the comments and he is taking it all on board.

He states he got confused by the station and wasnt sure what was happening.
Easy to understand when you come to new Tech.
He is very much on the side of the electric car there he doesn't like the user interface of the charging station.

The name of the video is a little click bait but sure you have to play the game on Youtube.
I like his review. He used pop onto boards regularly enough.

The title is silly & misleading - he needs to change that for a start! Like watching a terrible Jeremy Clarkson doing a scripted scene at the charger. Either that or maybe like my granny trying to do it for the first time.

Complains about the UI at the charger? Do petrol pumps have fancy UIs or something?

I generally like his reviews as well, nice and casual and a bit of a change from the norm, but just a little research would have been good, a lot of the review was taken up with the 'faulty charger', and not much about the car

Is the Ioniq quality on par with Bentley?

I usually like Bob, enjoy his reviews.

I heard him on the radio a few weeks back talking about EVs, and although he was lacking in some knowledge, he did more or less say we'd all be in them some day, so time to get ready.

But I suppose if being a motoring journo is your job, you should know all there is to know about EVs

It wouldn't take that much effort to get up to speed especially if you consider yourself to be an expert on motoring matters. There's only a couple of different connectors!

I agree though, I enjoy his material also.

I'd say it was a staged prank (making a point that chargers are not the most user friendly things in the world) ;)

No motoring journo is that thick :p

Exactly. To top it off he actually points at the diagram on the side of the charger that identifies each charger by name and picture.

Parking the wrong way round at the slow charger cinched it for me, he drives from the FCP to it and has somehow forgotten where the charge port is

    You missed 7:27

He says "try that one". Clicks on the CCS button (the only time he did that) and when it says "plug the cable" he clicks "cancel" straight away :D:D:D

He knew exactly what he was doing :D

To be fair he is right to a point. The charging is very awkward and not intuitive. If you plug in the car first (for CCS) before starting the charge it will give you an error. Did for me anyway when i tried it.

Plus it doesn't actually have a label on what plug is what. Couldn't be that hard to put a picture of the plug up after selecting it, or putting an LED on over the connector?

Although it was a very hard video to watch, but it does show that regular folk may be put off by this and it is so easy to fix.

Common sense is the least common type of sense. He also mentions at the start that he has a charge point at home and his own card, so he knows damn well how to use the charge points.

We should defend our way of life to an extent that any attempt on it is crushed, so that any adversary will never make such an attempt in the future.
