Is there any insurer out there who will insure my van for 1 day?

I've moving my new van from garage to home. My current car insurer will not give me temporary insurance for a commercial van.

Will you not want to insure it on a permanent basis?

Yes but the van is being converted and will be insured permanently once conversion is complete and registered as camper.
(never answer a question with another question :)).

    I don't believe there is.

p.s. The availability of short term car insurance comes up frequently. I wonder is there any appetite for it? It'd best quite expensive I'd imagine. Would people pay say €100 for 24 hours cover?

Well, sometimes when very little background information is given, an additional question is required to give a correct answer

Get a 16ft trailer with loading skids for a day & tow it home. Could well be a lot cheaper than what you'll pay your insurance provider.

Breakdown service would lift and drop for 50 - 80 if its not too far to travel..
