    Yeah!!! For years through recession we had to listen to people telling us to work for dole money....to up skill into IT and coding when jobs were lost.....to get paid with experience over money...to move abroad...

    but now....

    Generation Next, Next Generation Next! Hit it!

    We're in power!! hahaha. Don't give me a pay raise every year? hahaha! Goodbye! There's no shortage of jobs out there boy, you quivering in yer boots yeah? hahaha!!

    Hit it! Generation Next, Next Generation Next!

    Upskill? hahaha! no way! Retrain? Hahaha! no way! Learn IT and coding? Hahaha! no way! Give me a pay rise or I'm gone!! HAHAHA!

    I have no idea what this thread is about

    It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    My generation helped to vote Bertie Ahern in three times as Taoiseach and used to fly to New York to do their Christmas Shopping whilst snapping up investment properties in Bulgaria. The current generation, besides a penchant for ridiculous selfies and ill-advised tattoos, seem pretty mild.

    There is no 'Taoiseach' poll for any generation. Credit for Bertie goes to N. Dublin and FF clique.

    But yes the bashing of current youngsters is misplaced. They will be fine. We would have done the selfie thing at that age too had we access to the gadgetry.
