Do contact lenses that hide bloodshot eyes exist?

Going to Specsavers soon after booking an appointment; They said I could try contacts instead of glasses.

I'm a bit hesitant since I've heard bad things about them such as a high requirement of hygiene when handling to prevent conjunctivitis other eye problem along with the high cost. But then I thought about prescription contact I've heard of online which mimic sunglasses and give the wearer a different eye color.

I assume then that contacts which make a person with relatively reddish/yellowish sclera appear like they have healthier eyes must exist, or am I wrong?

They won't mask the look of redness in the eyes. My advise would be find out why your eyes are red and treat that problem first. Then look at contact lenses as an option for when you don't want to wear glasses.
