    Hi all,
Anyone used Sportchip in Ballycoolin to remap their car ? I want to get my 1.7cdti Astra done and egr deleted. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, have used Greg before for remapping.

He's very knowledgeable guy and knows what he is doing.

Would have no hesitation in using him again. Go for it.

That's re-assuring, hes only about 15 mins away from me so is handy in that sense, do you know does he use generic or customs maps ? and how much he charges for a standard remap (I understand every car will be different) but ball park. Cheers.

He maps the cars himself so it would be a "custom" map so to speak

I presume he charges differently depending on the car.

You're best off just giving him a call :)

Builds the maps himself and he has a dyno, similar to Joe Power (who I have also used in the past)

He has had numerous Touring Car Championship wins over the past years racing a Golf GTI which he mapped himself and he also specialises in Turbo rebuilds, so that initially gave me a lot of confidence in that he knows what he's doing.

He charged me 250 but I have recommended him to a few people who got varying quotes depending on the car.

Always a good sign when a tradesman practices his trade in his leisure time lol €250 seems reasonable ! thanks for the info ! :)
